Chicken Strips & Pickles Stir-Fry

Ich liebe dieses Rezept, weil ich von Gewürzgurken nicht genug bekommen kann ... Für viele mag das eine seltsame Kombination sein, die Säure von Gewürzgurken zusammen mit Hähnchenfleisch und einer cremig-käsigen Sauce. Doch genau dann solltest du es einmal probieren!

Das ist eines der Rezepte, die meine Mama "erfunden" und bei uns zu Hause in die Rotation aufgenommen hat. Da sie und ich keine Pilze mögen, gab es bei uns nie Geschnetzeltes in Pilzrahmsauce. Dieses Rezept füllt diese Lücke ganz wunderbar! Die Anti-Pilz-Antwort!

Description

You don't like mushrooms? Or you can't put nearly enough pickles on your burger or hotdog? Then this recipe is just for you! Chicken strips in a cheesy creamy pickles sauce, simply delicious!!

Ingredients
  • 1 onion (or two shallots)
  • 400 g chicken breast
  • 200 g pickles
  • 18 g butter
  • 100 ml milk
  • 30 g processed cheese / cheese spread
  • 20 g cream cheese
  • pickle liquid (the remaining liquid that was used to pickle the pickles)
How it is done:
  1. Chop the onion and pickles in very small pieces. Afterwards, cut the chicken breast into fine strips, too.

  2. Now, add butter to a frying pan and as soon as the pan is hot, fry the chicken strips very well. It is best to fry the chicken until you see it partly turning brown. This is giving the meal some roasting flavor.

  3. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Then add and also fry the onion.

  5. Add a splash of pickle liquid to the pan to deglaze. Then add the chopped pickles, also.

  6. Now add the cream cheese to a free area in your frying pan, let is melt into your sauce and mix well. Then also add milk and processed cheese / cheese spread and let the sauce come together.

  7. Add another splash of pickle liquid or you can just use regular water if it is already sour enough for you taste.

  8. Season to taste with salt and pepper, let it come to a boil and serve.
