There are days when I just want a simple, honest meal. Nothing that requires ten pans or looks like it came from a Michelin-starred restaurant—just something delicious that can be on the table in minutes and still tastes amazing. This herbal yogurt dressing is just such a recipe: lightning-fast, pleasantly tasty, and wonderfully creamy. It's one of those little kitchen miracles that requires very little effort but is surprisingly flavorful.
The base consists of yogurt, a dollop of mustard, and a small portion of vegetable stock powder – this easily adds a delicate, savory depth to the flavor without having to make extra stock. A good herbes de Provence blend provides a well-rounded aroma without having to chop fresh herbs. Simply pour everything into a jar, screw the lid on tightly, and shake well – done!
Perfect for spontaneous salad ideas, quick after-work meals, or when you simply want to treat yourself to something fresh and light. I think recipes like these should be in every repertoire – because they show how beautifully simple good food can be.
Inspiration for this Dressing
A few years ago, I tried various yogurt dressings until I found my favorite, and since then, I've used this recipe almost exclusively. I've tweaked it a bit to suit my taste, of course.

When Herbal Yogurt Dressing Meets Apple Red Cabbage
The herbal yogurt dressing tastes especially delicious with salads made with apple-flavored red cabbage. The sweet and sour flavor of the red cabbage harmonizes perfectly with the creamy flavor of the dressing. And as a nice side effect, the red cabbage gives the dressing a pink hue—a real eye-catcher on the plate!
