Strawberry cheesecake overnight oats are much more than just a quick breakfast for me – they're little comfort foods in a jar. Especially on warm days, I love opening the fridge in the morning and treating myself to a serving of creamy, fruity oats that I prepared the night before. These fruity overnight oats remind me of the scent of fresh strawberries and the feeling of taking good care of myself – with simple ingredients and lots of love.

Why the name “Strawberry Cheesecake Overnight Oats”?

We all know "Strawberry Cheesecake," right? A New York classic! But what does the cake have to do with this recipe?

The strawberries are probably pretty obvious. We also add quark and cream cheese to the overnight oats—which are the main ingredients of cheesecake! I use butter cookie crumbs in this recipe, too. In many cheesecake recipes, the cake base consists of smashed cookies with a little butter (similar to moist sand before baking). So, we've combined all three main ingredients of the classic strawberry cheesecake in this recipe, and it certainly lives up to the name!

However, there are also a few health benefits: less sugar, more protein and more long-chain carbohydrates, which don't make you hungry so quickly but instead keep you full for longer.

Other Overnight Oats Variations

You can easily adapt or modify this recipe. For example, change the fruit used to adapt it to a different cycle phase! Or use yogurt instead of quark and cream cheese!

You can also add cocoa powder to the overnight oats for a chocolatey version! (I would recommend mixing the cocoa powder with a little boiling water or sifting it in.)

Strawberry Cheesecake Overnight Oats in the Ovulation Phase

In case of hormonal imbalance, the following symptoms can occur in the first two phases after menstruation: nausea, migraines, midpain / ovulation bleeding, hypersensitivity of the nipples, listlessness and lack of motivation.

Nutrients that can help and support during this time are vitamins A, C, E, B3, B5, protein, iron, folic acid, selenium, zinc and phytoestrogens.

The following ingredients in this Strawberry Cheesecake Overnight Oats recipe are particularly noteworthy when it comes to supporting you in the ovulation phase:

  • flex seeds: are rich in iron and contain vitamins A, C, E, zinc, selenium and phytoestrogens
  • chia seeds: contain vitamins A, E and B3, as well as iron and zinc
  • strawberries: contain a lot of vitamin C, folic acid and iron, contain zinc
  • quark: contains vitamin A and is a good source of protein
  • cream cheese: contains mainly vitamin A, but also vitamin B5, zinc and is a good source of protein
