How to: Remove Pomegranate Seeds
It can be very tedious, exhausting and time consuming to remove the seeds of a pomegranate, if you don't know how. Afterwards, the kitchen might even resemble a capital crime scene ... If you don't feel like cleaning your whole kitchen, you can try my simple instructions and finish the task within minutes!
Ingredients
Instruction:
-
Carefully cut the pomegranate along the edges. Don't cut too deep! You should only cut the skin of the pomegranate, don't go in too deep and cut through the seeds.
-
Fill a big bowl with water. If you want to play it safe, you rather choose a bowl that doesn't stain (e.g. a glass bowl).
-
Plunge the pomegranate into the bowl of water and open it up along the pre-cut edges. Remove the pomegranate seeds under water and let them sink to the bottom of the bowl.
-
Some small white pomegranate bits remain swimming on the water's surface. Fish them out with a sifter.
-
Then drain the water and catch the pomegranate seeds in a big sifter.
