These hazelnut nougat cream cookies are a dream and will melt in your mouth! And there's hardly a quicker, easier cookie recipe! They're so deliciously chocolatey, almost like a brownie.

This recipe is based on a Nutella Cookie Recipe by Chefkoch. I adapted it a bit, as the dark chocolate hazelnut spread I prefer comes in 200g jars. You can also easily replace some of the flour with ground hazelnuts for even more hazelnut flavor in the hazelnut nougat spread cookies.

To be honest, I never tried to use my own Bittersweet Chocolate Hazelnut Spread recipe for these cookies. Have you tried this, yet? Then please tell me in the comments about it!

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients except for powdered sugar to a big mixing bowl. Start with the dry ingredients and mix them before adding the egg and Chocolate Hazelnut Spread.

  1. Then use a handheld mixer with attached dough hooks to roughly mix the ingredients. However, it usually works best if you just go in with your hands and knead the dough until it comes together.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 °F (180 °C), top and bottom heat.

  1. Shape balls of dough in the size of walnuts and spread them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

  1. Then bake the cookies for 8 - 10 minutes. When you see some little cracks on the cookies, they are done and you can take them out of the oven. By no means, bake the cookies any longer! They get drier with every additional minute!

  1. Let the cookies cool down and dust them with powdered sugar, before storing them in a cookie jar or box.
