Power Chocolate Mousse in the Ovulation Phase
In case of hormonal imbalance, the following symptoms can occur in the first two phases after menstruation: nausea, migraines, midpain / ovulation bleeding, hypersensitivity of the nipples, listlessness and lack of motivation.
Nutrients that can help and support during this time are vitamins A, C, E, B3, B5, protein, iron, folic acid, selenium, zinc and phytoestrogens.
The following ingredients in this Power Chocolate Mousse recipe are particularly noteworthy when it comes to supporting the ovulation phase:
- cocoa: is rich in minerals such as iron and zinc and provides B vitamins, as well as vitamin E, plus plenty of fiber, protein and antioxidants such as flavonoids.
- raspberries: are rich in vitamin C (important for the immune system), B vitamins (e.g., B6, folic acid) and important minerals such as iron and calcium, supplemented by secondary plant compounds such as antioxidants and flavonoids.
- low-fat quark: contains vitamin A and is a good source of protein
- cream cheese: contains mainly vitamin A, but also vitamin B5, zinc and is a good source of protein
- egg whites: contain important B vitamins (B2, B5, B6, biotin, niacin, B12), as well as iron and zinc, and of course plenty of protein.
Power Chocolate Mousse
This power chocolate mousse is a protein-rich breakfast made with low-fat quark and cream cheese, which creates a particularly light, mousse-like consistency through gelatin and beaten egg whites. It can be ideally prepared the night before, is light and easily digestible, yet keeps you feeling full for a long time. Refined with fresh raspberries, it is especially suitable for the ovulation phase and for anyone who has little time in the morning.
Ingredients:
Instructions:
-
Soak the gelatin in a small bowl of water.
-
Separate 3 eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff using a hand mixer.
-
Place all the other ingredients, except for the fresh raspberries, into a pot and mix them with a hand mixer until you have a uniform mixture.
-
Now squeeze out the gelatin and add it to the pot.
-
Gently heat the contents of the saucepan for the chocolate mousse on the stovetop, stirring constantly. You can add more sweetener as needed until it's sweet enough for you. The ingredients should not boil, but be heated enough until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
-
Remove the pot from the heat and add just one spoonful of beaten egg white, stirring it in well. Then add the remaining beaten egg white to the chocolate mousse and fold it in.
-
Transfer the chocolate mixture to a large serving bowl and tap it a few times on the work surface to release any air bubbles. Then refrigerate for several hours – ideally overnight.
-
After letting it set in the fridge, decorate your chocolate mousse with fresh raspberries and serve it.
